Big 12 Title For Baylor...Bryce Serious Heisman Contender

In what became a critical game for the Big 12 title, after the loss to Oklahoma State, the Baylor Bears finished off Texas 30-10 to secure a Big 12 title, and Fiesta Bowl birth.  The Baylor Bears finished a program best 11-1 (8-1 Big 12), which is the best in school history.  It has been a year of firsts for the Bears, led by Bryce Petty.  The 9-0 start to begin the season was a run that was truly unforgettable.  Tonights big game was the 10th straight win at home.  The game also won Baylor its 3rd conference title in school history.  Art Briles, Baylor head football coach was quoted as saying, "Its a reality now, we're Big 12 champs!" Baylor quarterback Bryce Petty put on a spectacular performance, putting up 287 passing yards with 2 touchdowns.  Bryce Petty has thrown for over 200+ yards and 2 touchdowns in all games he has ever started at the college level.  The talks have now only gotten more serious these past few weeks for Bryce in the Heisman race.  WIth the allegations against Jameis Winston for FSU, and other notables whose stats are inferior to Bryce, Mr. Petty has set up a pretty good position for himself.  Baylor now has the Fiesta Bowl on its schedule against ranked football program UCF (University of Central Florida).  The game takes place on New Years!
