Human Trafficking Awareness Month Events In Miami (January 2015)

January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month, and Miami is hopping with free events every week.  If you are interested in learning about human trafficking, it's a great time to get out and meet some phenomenal advocates that have shaped the movement here in the last seven years.


Below is a listing of all of the events.  (If I've missed any Miami-based events, please feel free to add in the comments)

  • Bonnie L Martin - Psychotherapist and national expert in addiction treatment with survivors of trafficking (NOTE: I just saw her present in DC and she's great!)
  • Dr. Jon Shaw - Supervising and Training Psychoanalyst, Florida Psychoanalytic Institute, Professor and Director Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at University of Miami Miller School of Medicine
  • Dr. Katariina Rosenblatt - Founder and President of There is H.O.P.E for Me, Survivor of Human Trafficking
