Journalism Students Gain Insight Into The Scientific Method

Two teams of three journalists had an opportunity to be embedded in a science lab. The experiment was two-fold — the journalists worked with transgenic organisms in the lab while being part of the experiment itself. Before the experiment began team two came up with the following hypothesis: If journalists are embedded in the scientific lab, they will be able to communicate the scientific research more clearly to the general public.

This video presents a breakdown of the scientific process including successes, failures and recommendations for future SciXchange projects.
